Currently, we are looking for two full-time Food Service Supervisors at our Sherwood Park location to join our team.

Work Location: 390 Baseline Rd #190, Sherwood Park, AB T8H 1X1
Position Title: Food Service Supervisor

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Estimated Starting Date: As Soon As Possible

Position Available: 2       

Wage: $18.65 - $19.65 per hour (Depending on Working Experience)

Working Hours: 30 hours per week (including early morning, evening, weekends)

Benefit: 10 business days of paid vacation or 4 % vacation pay + tips

Job Duties:

• Supervise and coordinate duties of staff who are responsible for preparing and serving food and drinks;
• Calculate and place an order for ingredients for drinks, sandwiches, baked goods, and supplies in a timely manner;
• Create food/drinks order summaries based on the requests from customers;
• Coordinate working schedules and develop procedures to prevent labour shortage or surplus while adhering to meal and break policy;
• Provide professional customer service and ensure that drinks, food and customer service meet quality standards;
• Conduct staff training in duties, responsibilities, sanitation practices, and safety procedures;
• Conduct inventory management and record stock, repairs and wastage as required in the production, preparation, and presentation of foods and drinks;
• Supervise preparation and delivery of food/drink trolleys for catering service and assist in hiring food service staff and in creation of budgets.

Qualifications:

• Completion of secondary school is required;
• Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline OR several years of experience in food preparation or service are required;
• Ability to work independently or with a team in a fast-paced environment;
• Excellent interpersonal skills and problem solving skills;
• Working knowledge of English.
