Are you passionate about food and looking for a dynamic kitchen environment? Best Bite, Edmonton’s go-to spot for delicious donairs, homemade pizza, burgers, and more, is looking for two dedicated Cooks to join our team!

Work Location: 324 Windermere Rd NW, Edmonton, AB T6W 2Z8

Position Title: Cook

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Estimated Starting Date: As Soon As Possible
Position Available: 02

Wage: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour (Depending on Working Experience)

Work Hours: 30 hours per week

Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay or 10 Business Days of Paid Vacation

Responsibility:

• Prepare and cook menu items from the menu;
• Supervise and train kitchen staff and monitor their work performance;
• Oversee the daily operation of the kitchen and coordinate the shift schedule of kitchen staff;
• Clean and sanitize the work area;
• Participate in menu planning and portioning of the dish, and provide garnishment;
• Ensure food quality meets the standard of Best Bite;
• Monitor and manage inventory of food ingredients, supplies, and equipment and place an order in a timely manner;

Qualification:

• Completion of secondary school is required;
• Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks, OR completion of college or other programs in cooking or food safety, OR more than 1+ years of commercial cooking experience may be required;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a great team player;
• Working knowledge of English.
