Wage Range: $20.00 ~ $24.00 per hour
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Job Description:
- Plan and organize activities that protect and promote the children's intellectual, physical, social, and emotional growth
- Create and implement childcare activities and programs in line with our business values that support the mental and physical development of up to 8 children, aged from one year up to five years old
- Provide a daily indoor/outdoor, and individual/group activities to children
- Establish, carry out a daily activity schedule
- Prepare and organize equipment, materials before classes
- Help and assist children in expressing themselves by listening and responding with questions that extend conversations
- Teach with a variety of teaching techniques including modeling, observing, questioning, demonstrating, etc.
- Assist and encourage children to practice self-help daily
- Provide opportunity for child directed play experience
- Plan and carry out activities that encourage problem solving
Requirements:
- Language: English
- Minimum college diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or similar education completed at minimum college-level required.
- Certificate to practice in BC as an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) is required.
- First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate (valid or intent to obtain)
- Experience in Early Childhood Education is an asset but not mandatory.
- Documentations regarding such as criminal record check, immunization records will be checked.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with parents and community members.
- Mature and responsible attitude towards work.
