• Salary: 29.00 hourly / 40 hours per Week

Workplace information: On the road,  Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee.

Responsibilities: Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques, Mountain driving expertise, Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations, Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, Load and unload goods, Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle, Receive and relay information to central dispatch, Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

Credentials: Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses , AZ class license, Driver's License (Class 1 or A)

Experience and specialization: Documentation knowledge, Bill of lading, Dangerous goods occurrence reports, Driver logbook, Maintenance and repair reports, Trans-border documentation

Type of trucking and equipment: Tractor-trailer

Communication systems experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment

Transportation/travel experience: International, Local, Long-haul, National, Provincial/territorial, Regional

Additional information

Transportation/travel information: Drive manual transmission vehicle, Valid driver's licence, Willing to travel cross-border, Willing to travel for extended periods, Willing to travel internationally, Willing to travel overnight

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail, Handling heavy loads, Large workload, Overtime required, Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Sitting

Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
