Office Manager

 Salary:  $27.00 to $28.00 / hour (To be negotiated)

Job requirements

Languages: English

Education

College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year      or     equivalent experience

 

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Ability to Supervise: 3-4 people

 

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Confidential security clearance

 

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation

 

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Attention to detail

 

Work Location Information: Urban area

 

Personal Suitability: Organized, Reliability, Excellent oral communication, Effective interpersonal skills, Excellent written communication

 

Additional Skills: Delegate work to office support staff

 

Administrative and Coordination Skills: Schedule work of other staff

 

Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Electronic mail, Spreadsheet, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Office, Accounting software, Quick Books

 

Specific Skills

Review, evaluate and implement new administrative procedures, establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met, carry out administrative activities of establishment, Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures, prepare income tax, establish procedures and implement policies.

Knowledge of following is an asset: -

Management of online banking

Management of incoming and outgoing wire transfers

Preparing and processing payroll, source deduction and remittance including preparing and filing T4s

Income tax and GST reporting.
