Ottawa Finish Carpentry

649 Tennant Way, Manotick, Ontario, K4M 0C7.

 

We are currently searching for one Finish Carpenter.

Work Location:

Various sites in the Ottawa Region

 

Duties:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites

Applicants must be able to demonstrate extensive carpentry trim experience.

 

You will be required to train apprentices and labours.

 

Work Setting:

Construction, Renovation, Commercial and Residential

 

Requirements:

Three years of work experience in finish carpentry

 

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads, large workload, Bending, crouching, kneeling

 

Work Site Environment:

Noisy, dusty

 

Own Tools/Equipment:

Tools, Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/googles

 

Terms of Employment:

Permanent Position/40 hours per week

 

Hours of Work:

From Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3 pm

 

Language of work:

English

 

Salary:

From CAD$ 28.39 to CAD$ 32.00 per hour depending on your work experience
