Terms of Employment: Full-time/Permanent

Start Date: As Soon As Possible

Wage: $18.00/Hour

No of Positions: 2

Job Duties:

• Cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences
• Shave and trim beards and moustaches.
• Shampoo customers' hair.
• Provide other hair treatment, such as waving, straightening, and tinting and provide scalp conditioning massages.
• Analyze hair and scalp condition and provide basic treatment or advice on beauty care treatments for scalp and hair.
• Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to color, frost, or streak hair.
• Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm, and style hair.
• Maintain and order supplies.

Skills Requirements

Education: Completion of Secondary school is required

Experience:

Completion of a minimum of 7-month apprenticeship program

OR

At least 1 year of work experience or on-the-job training is required.

Language: English

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, Hand eye co-ordination, Attention to detail, Standing for extended periods.

Personal Suitability: Client focus, Judgement, Reliability, Effective Interpersonal skills, Excellent oral communication.
