Job Duties:
Mixes and cooks candy ingredients by following, modifying, or formulating recipes to produce products of specified flavor, texture, and color.
Examines, feels, and tastes products to evaluate color, texture, and flavor and make sure that they meet company requirements, and remove machine clogs as needed.
Adds ingredients or modifies cooking and forming operations as needed.
Train, direct and supervise candy maker helpers.
Utilize control panels, computer terminals, or other control systems to operate multifunctional process control gear that can grind, extract, mix, blend, cook, or process food goods.
Maintain shift logs.
Keep record of production information such as quantity, weight, size, date and type.
Keep the work area and equipment clean and tidy.
Requirements:
Completion of secondary school is required.
Experience is an asset.
On job training will be provided.
