Duties:

We at V & A Construction Ltd. is currently in need of full- time Carpenter. The qualified candidate should be able to perform the following duties:

• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, light weight steel and other materials.
• Fit and install stairs, mouldings, fences, and hardware.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
• Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures.
• Full range of skills in cutting rebar and installing and Shoveling and landscaping knowledge.
• Supervise other workers.
• Perform all other duties as required.

Wages:

$ 30.30/hr for 35 hours a week

Skills Requirement:

• Completion of Secondary School.
• Completion of 3-4 years apprenticeship program or A combination of over four years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in carpentry is usually required to be eligible for trade certification.
• Trade certification in carpentry would be an asset but not mandatory.
• Ability to communicate in English.
