Salary: $52.00 per hour for 30 – 40 hours per week

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent, Overtime, Morning, Day, Shift, Flexible hours

Job Duties

  • Precisely plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate manufacturing and construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications, and budget
  • Formulate policies which establish the direction to be taken by the business, either alone or in conjunction with the owner of the business
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and develop best strategies by formulating policies and programs to drive innovation and maintain competitiveness according to changes in the market
  • Oversee production, planning, scheduling, and inventory management to meet customer demands, increase operational efficiency and maximize resource utilization
  • Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates
  • Plan and prepare manufacturing and installation schedules and milestones and monitor progress against established schedules
  • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Develop and implement quality control programs
  • Represent company on matters such as business services and union contracts negotiation
  • Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients
  • Direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions
  • Hire and supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff
  • Drive initiatives for cost reduction, waste minimization, and productivity improvement to maximize the efficiency
  • Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing facility, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Serve as the organization's representative in negotiations or official capacities

Employment Requirements

  • Completion of a University degree in business administration, commerce, or management is required.
  • More than 3 years of experience in administrative, supervisory, or managerial experience in manufacturing or construction field is required.
  • Any professional designation or a Master’s degree in accounting, human resources, or administration will be an asset to have.
  • Excellent communication skills in oral and written English is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Benefits

As per BC Employment Standards Act, 4% vacation pay of the gross salary each pay period or 10 days of paid vacation (worker will choose).
