Salary: 28.45 hourly / 40 to 44 hours per Week
Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that cargo is loaded, secured, and unloaded properly while following safety rules and procedures.
- Inspecting the truck before and after the trip to make sure it is mechanically functional and complies with all applicable regulations.
- Completing all legally needed logs, reports, and other documentation pertaining to deliveries, mileage, and hours of service.
- Obeying company policies, traffic laws, and regulations to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with provincial and federal transportation legislation.
- Keeping in contact with supervisors or dispatchers to address any concerns and provide updates on the status of deliveries.
- Ensuring personal safety and the safety of others on the road. Following established safety procedures, using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, and keeping the truck tidy and organized.
- Addressing any problems that may occur during transportation, like weather-related delays, mechanical failures, or delays due to traffic, while prioritizing safety and timely delivery.
- Transporting supplies and goods between locations while ensuring delivery is prompt and effective.
Eligibility Requirements:
- A Secondary school graduation certificate is the minimum educational requirement for this job.
- 1 to less than 7 months prior experience in driving is required.
- Appropriate certificates, or licenses such as AZ class license, Driver’s license (class 1 or A), or Driver’s license (class 3 or D) must be possessed by the driver.
- Background checks to ensure that one has no disqualifying criminal history.
- A good understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards is crucial
- Effective communication is important for interacting with dispatchers, clients, and other drivers on the road.
- The job can be physically demanding, so one needs to be capable of sitting for extended periods, loading/unloading cargo, and performing routine vehicle inspections.
- Strong communication skills in English are essential for understanding road signs, and regulations, and effectively communicating with others.
- In-depth knowledge about documentation like accident or incident reports, Bill of landing, Driver logbook, Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports, etc.
