 Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders
  • Bake mixed doughs and batters
  • Supervise, instruct, motivate and communicate with the staff on an going basis.
  • Supervise and lead a team of production staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure production efficiencies are achieved and improve as necessary.
  • Assist in overseeing day-to-day production activities, ensuring that production efficiencies are met with a high level of quality.
  • Demonstrate clear understanding and two-way conversation with Production Manager.
  • Participate in a comprehensive training program to develop a deeper understanding of pastry production process, company standards, and safety protocols.
  • Support quality assurance protocol on products to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Develop effective communication skills to interact with team members, managers, and other departments.

Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Secondary School diploma or equivalent; relevant education in pastry or production management is a plus.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
