Job Description

Medical Clinic is currently seeking a full-time Medical Administrative Assistant (MAA) to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position. The MAA will support our physicians by performing various clerical and administrative tasks such as

  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the clinic.
  • Interview patients to obtain case histories.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments.
  • Manage communication between medical staff and patients
  • Complete insurance and other claim forms
  • Perform general clerical work, such as order supplies and maintain inventory
  • Determine and establish office procedures and routines
  • Enter and format electronically based medical reports and correspondence and prepare spreadsheets and documents for review
  • Initiate and maintain confidential medical files and records
  • Update and maintain patients’ health records
  • Answer patients’ queries and ensure quality customer service

 

Job Requirements:

Education: Completion of a one- or two-year college program

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Language: English, Ability to speak Punjabi (preferred)

Work Setting: Medical Clinic

Additional Skills:

  • • Excellent communication skills
  • • Ability to manage large amounts of detailed information
  • • Capable of working both independently and in a team setting
  • • Comfortable working under pressure
  • • Welcoming customer service skills
  • • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
