Dharma Dog Services is a locally owned dog grooming establishment, located in the heart of the Sunset neighbourhood of Vancouver. We offer a wide range of services for our canine clients, such as grooming and training.

We are currently hiring a full-time Sales Supervisor for our front-end retail area, who can be a good fit to support our team and help take the retail experience here at Dharma Dog Services to the next level.

Position Title: Sales Supervisor

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Estimated Starting Date: As soon as possible

Position available: 1

Wage: $25.00 – $26.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Work Hours: 30-40 hours per week

Benefit: Group insurance benefits & 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

• Delegate tasks and monitor the performance of all retail staff;
• Ensure store cleanliness at all times and maintain the visual appeal of products on display;
• Authorize refunds and returns according to store’s policies;
• Handle any customer’s dissatisfactions in a professional manner and look to improve their experience right away if possible;
• Keep track of inventory and order merchandises and products as needed;
• Support retail staff in assisting customers and checking-in clients if the store is busy;
• Report to the owner on sales and provide input on future business forecasts and marketing strategies;
• Train new retail hires on the products and how to provide the best customer service whether it is in-person, by phone, or by email;
• May work together with the Owner and Dog Grooming Manager to implement sales strategies and promote the upcoming line of store branded pet treats.

Qualification:

• A high school diploma is required;
• 1 to 2 years of previous retail sales experience is required;
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred but not mandatory;
• Knowledge on pet products is not required, but highly recommended;
• Strong communication ability and willingness to support others is a must.
