Responsibilities
Tasks
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers who prepare and serve drinks, beverages, and other food items
- Schedule and assign duties to team members and prepare the work schedules
- Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation
- Maintain records of stock, sales, and wastage
- Train staff in job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
- Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages
Supervision
- 1 to 2 people
- Food and beverage servers
- Food service counter attendants and food preparers
