Position:Machine Vision and Hardware Integrator

Location:Toronto, Canada (On-site)

Status:Full-time, permanent

Salary Range:$95,000-$105,000, based on experience

Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and drivenMachine Vision and Hardware Integratorto join our team in Toronto. This role primarily involves designing, developing, and integrating sophisticated machine vision systems with various hardware components for use in microfluidic devices and systems intended for application in medicine, diagnostics, and environmental biology. Depending on our project needs, you may be asked to support different tasks or projects from time-to-time.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and develop machine vision systems, including selecting cameras, lenses, lighting, and other optical components;
  • Integrate machine vision solutions with hardware systems, ensuring seamless communication and functionality;
  • Configure and program machine vision software and algorithms for image processing, pattern recognition, and defect detection;
  • Conduct thorough testing and optimization of systems to meet performance specifications and quality standards;
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users, ensuring they can effectively operate and maintain the systems;
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in machine vision technology and apply innovative approaches to solve complex automation challenges.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related field;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in machine vision system design and integration;
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or other relevant languages for software development and system configuration;
  • Strong understanding of optics, processing algorithms, and machine learning techniques;
  • Experience with CAD software for designing and modeling system components;
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team;
  • Business proficiency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
