Artin Stone Trading in Vancouver is hiring for full time permanent Transport Truck Drivers to join our team. Our team meets the legacy of 15 years’ brilliant experience in marble stone manufacturing & installation industry.

Pay rate: $29/hrs
Hours per week: 30-40
Location: 2008 Clark Dr Vancouver, BC V5N 3G7
Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Safely load, transport, and unload stone slabs with helpers onto and from the transport truck, ensuring secure placement and load stability during transit.
- Operate and drive primarily straight trucks to transport goods and materials mainly on local routes and short inter-urban routes
- Lift, carry, and position smaller slabs or portions, following proper lifting techniques to avoid injury and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Drive a transport truck over local or long distances to deliver stone slabs to construction sites, warehouses, or customer locations. Follow provincial or national road safety and weight regulations, ensuring the proper handling of oversized and heavy loads.
- Conduct routine inspections of the transport truck and securing equipment to maintain safety and functionality. Report any maintenance issues or unsafe conditions promptly.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols for handling, securing, and transporting heavy materials. Follow safety guidelines for manual lifting to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff, site supervisors, and customers to ensure smooth loading, unloading, and delivery of materials. Communicate any delays, changes, or issues to all relevant parties.
- Plan efficient routes that consider load restrictions, height limitations, and weight limits. Ensure timely delivery while considering traffic conditions, construction zones, and other potential obstacles.
- Provide excellent customer service by coordinating deliveries, ensuring accurate placement of slabs at delivery sites, and addressing customer concerns or special requirements.
Job requirements:
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalant of experience
Experience: at least 7 months to 1 year local/short-hual transport experience
Driver Licence : Class 5
Language of work: English
Weight Handeling: More than 45Kg
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, over time required
