Ikon Insulation Ltd.  located at 143 Street, Surrey, BC is currently hiring for 2 Construction Painters to join their construction company as soon as possible.

Job Title: Construction Painter

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Vacancy: 2

Wage Rate and hours: $25.25 per hour, 35-40 hours per week

Start date: as soon as possible

Job Location: Various locations across Lower Mainland, Fraser valley, Greater Vancouver area

Language: English

Education: Completion of secondary school is an asset

Experience: 1 to 2 years of related experience is required. Candidates with completion of related apprenticeship can be considered as well.

Job duties:

• Calculate the amount of material required by reading and interpreting specifications and prepare and submit the material order sheets to supervisor
• Advice and assist clients to select color and wall covering for interior and exterior surfaces and provide them estimate for the same

• Mix paint to desired colour and texture
• Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted
• Repair cracks, holes and removing old and paint
• Measure, cut and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls

• Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging
• Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
• Scrape, sandpaper, prime or seal surfaces prior to painting
