Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install drywall panels to cover walls, ceilings and partitions
- Prepare surfaces by removing old wallpaper or paint, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing them using appropriate tools
- Apply tape and joint compound to seams between drywall panels to create a smooth surface
- Sand and smooth seams, corners, and other surfaces to ensure a seamless appearance
- Apply caulk or sealant to fill gaps and cracks in walls or ceilings
- Repair or replace damaged drywall panels as needed
- Follow blueprints or instructions to ensure accurate installation and finishing
- Position and secure sheets to studs and joints
Skills Requirement:
- Completion of secondary school is required
- At least 1 year of construction industry experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree is an asset
